Meet Your Trichologist

What Is A Trichologist? - A Trichologist is a specialist who focuses on the study of diseases or problems related to the hair and scalp, as well as their treatments. Trichology takes its name from the Greek word Trikhos, which means hair. Trichologists are not doctors but can advise people who are having hair-related problems, such as hair loss or scalp conditions.

What Does A Trichologist Do? - Help people with issues such as hair loss, hair breakage, oily scalp and scalp psoriasis, treat problems related to conditions like alopecia and trichotillomania, or hair-pulling disorders etc. Trichologists examine the hair and scalp to diagnose and recommend treatment for your condition and its severity. However, since we're not physicians, we cannot prescribe drugs or perform medical or surgical procedures.

About The Trichologist!

I started doing hair around the age of 14yrs old. I then wanted to educate myself more in the beauty industry, so I went to Beauty School of America as where I got my cosmetology license in 2011. I focused more on braided techniques, sew in styles, and natural hair care blow outs at the time. I wanted to further my education on learning more about treating hair loss due to hearing and seeing hair loss issues within my clients and other clients as well. I went back to school and became a Trichologist at the A.R.T Academy. I felt the urge to learn more being that learning about the science of hair and scalp is so much important information. So, I went back to school and studied again as a Hair Loss Practitioner, then a Associate Trichologist, and then a Trichologist at USTI. Which I still continue to learn more on the science of hair and scalp. It's my passion to be able to help people regrow their hair, keeps me going daily. Making my clients happy and feeling confident again.
